The Taste Of London Drinks To-Do List
World Class Cocktail Bar
World Class bartenders will be serving delicious cocktails and will be on hand to teach the tricks of the trade at the Cocktails At Home immersive masterclasses. Here, they will bring the expertise of cocktail mixology to Taste, offering consumers the chance to learn the basic principles to put into action at home.
Johnnie Walker Highball Experience
Guests can create their own Johnnie Walker Black Label Highball with a selection of mixers, bitters and garnishes which amplify the flavour found within the pioneering spirit. By experimenting with powdered ingredients such as pink peppercorn, desiccated coconut and chipotle on the edge of the glass to enhance flavours, guests will explore the different tasting notes in the whisky.
The ‘Whisky Room’ brings to life founder Johnnie Walker’s original grocery store of nearly 200 years ago. Once inside, guests will experience his original backroom re-imagined as a modern, functioning workshop with a central bar for friends to gather and drink together.
Ketel One Kitchen
Ketel One’s Kitchen Disco promises to be one of the hottest place at Taste this year. Guests can get creative using fresh vegetables and spices to build their own Bloody Mary under the expert guidance of Ketel One’s expert brand ambassador Kate Jackson.
Or join the Ketel One family on a journey of homemade water infusions with flavours such as basil, sugar snap pea and mint or coconut to design a summer spritz, compete with soda siphons to stimulate the senses with fresh herbs, fruits and spices.
Zacapa Taste Residence
The Taste Residence presented by Zacapa Rum will give diners unparalleled access to five of the most esteemed chefs on the planet.
In response to the emerging trend of serving rum with food, guests will savour a four-course tasting menu by Magnus Nilsson, Nicklas Ekstedt, Manoella Buffara, Sean Gray or Greg Marchand with wine pairings and aperitifs by Zacapa, a rum rich with complex flavour and character that is crafted in the highlands of Guatemala.
Tanqueray No. Ten Gin Terrace
The Tiny Ten vessel, a small copper pot still filled with fresh citrus fruit and chilled down to create an ice-cold mist, will be on tap for visitors to pour citrus ice mist onto their cocktails, adding to the flavoursome experience.
Don Julio ‘La Cantina’ Bar
Don Julio will be serving up the finest draft tequila cocktails at its ‘La Cantina’ Bar. Guests can swing by for a cocktail including Don Julio Paloma and Don Julio Margarita.
