Following the success of James Cochran’s Sunday roasts that launched in autumn last year, 12:51 is making a fresh change for spring and replacing the roast with a new Spring Goat Roast sharing dish, now available all day every Sunday.

mcith_goat.jpgTo celebrate the beginning of warmer weekends, the new twist on the classic Sunday roast uses one of James’s favourite meats cooked in three ways and accompanied by seasonal sides.

The sharing dish also takes inspiration from James’s’Goat Sharing Board’ which won him the title of’Champion of Champions’ on the BBC’S 2018 series of Great British Menu.

James will be going nose-to-tail with the spring roast so guests can expect a weekly changing selection of jerk-spiced goat three ways from braised shoulder in’Goat Kromeski’ to crispy goat belly with corn nuts and a simple roast haunch.

This will be served with a range of seasonal sides such as’Roast Goat Fat Jersey Royals’,’Roast Onions’,’Coal-roast Asparagus”Radish Salad’ and a’Wild Garlic Mayonnaise’.

As with the rest of the menu at 12:51, the new Spring Goat Roast showcases James’s Scottish and West Indian heritage as well as his Michelin-starred training, and can be enjoyed alongside the restaurant’s carefully curated wine list and playful cocktail menu.

The 12:51 Spring Goat Roast will cost £25pp and serves 2. The restaurant takes bookings for this dish from 12-10:30pm every Sunday. Reservations can be made online at www.1251.co.uk.
