This year is that the chefs at Donald Russell have worked out how to cook a whole turkey, or a turkey crown, direct from frozen – so no more defrosting for 72 hours in the fridge at a time when space is at a premium. he Ultimate Christmas Box – Small (1kg) or Medium (1.35kg) Crown plus Vegetables (£59.00/£69.00) includes everything needed for  Christmas dinner, and like we say, thefree-range turkey crown can be cooked straight from the freezer.

This qualitycrown, available in two sizes, is taken from a Loué Free-range turkey with only prime white breast meat which is kept on the rib cage for flavour. All the accompaniments are also included, prepared and ready to cook, as well as a dessert, leaving little left to do but enjoy the day. The box includes:

  • Smoked dry-cured streaky bacon
  • Pigs in blankets
  • Honey roast parsnips
  • Brussels sprouts with shallots & bacon

Don’t fancy a bird roast or if you’re serving a big family meal and want a choice of meats, then Donald Russell Easy Carve Roasts are an alternative or an addition.
