Looking for an edible Easter? Well there is more to eat than eggs so here are some ideas to inspire you over the long weekend.

Hungry Donkey

This Easter make the most of your long Bank Holiday weekend with Hungry Donkey’s new’Pay By The KG’ souvlaki menu. Launched at the beginning of the month, on the Greek day of Tsiknopempti which is aptly known otherwise as the’Feast of Carnivores’, the new menu allows groups to share platters of succulent spit roasted meats served with a selection of Greek sides. Customers will choose the meat they want and how much they’d like of it, this will then be spit-roasted to order.

The meat, sourced from Hungry Donkey’s existing suppliers will include Cotswold white chicken, Blythburgh pork and west country lamb from award-winning butchers Aubrey Allen. In keeping with the Hungry Donkey ethos, all the meat comes from free-range animals.

Other new additions to the menu include Spetzofai (traditional Greek sausage stewed in a tomato sauce with red peppers, smoked paprika and Boukovo chilli), Gigantes (white runner beans baked in a tomato sauce with celery & carrots), Artichoke Fricassee and Portokalopita (orange ripple cake). There are also new options for customers with intolerances including a delicious gluten-free Moussaka and a dairy-free Rizogalo (rice pudding).
