Desi Daru Vodka, the premium vodka brand known for its fusion of Indian and British heritage, was just awarded gold and silver medals in San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Desi Daru is an ultra-premium vodka brand that celebrates the best of India and Britain through its flavour-led spirits. Owned by British-born Indians, the brand uses the highest quality ingredients sourced from the jungles of Maharashtra, and the lush English countryside.

Desi Daru embodies a meeting of two worlds, a marriage between East and West creating two distinct flavours – Mango and Original, which have won several reputable awards.

The most recent one being the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) 2024.

The blind-tasting competition, with close to 5,500 entries including over 300 Vodkas, awarded Desi Daru a Gold Medal for its Mango Vodka and a Silver Medal for its Original offering.

Founder Mohit Singh shared: “We are absolutely delighted and humbled by this result at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Crafting the recipe for our vodkas has been an exciting challenge, and we have been dedicated to using only the highest quality ingredients to deliver the best possible product. Our Alphonso mangoes in particular, play a pivotal role in ensuring the exceptional taste of our Mango Vodka.

Winning these medals in such a prestigious global competition fills us with immense pride and reaffirms our dedication to excellence.” Born out of the creative vision of British-born Indians Mohit Singh and Aneet Kaur, Desi Daru Mango Vodka exemplifies the best of two worlds: capturing the essence of both India and Britain.

Distilled in collaboration with the esteemed Wood Brothers Distillery, their vodkas have received huge acclaim since its launch last year including the World’s Best Flavoured Vodka at the World Drink Awards and 5 Master Medals at the Vodka Masters.

These awards have helped open doors to some of the UK’s most popular establishments: from Mayfair’s Michelin-starred Benares to Fitzrovia’s Pahli Hill, the glitzy Farzi Café and trendy Hoppers.

Desi Daru have also recently launched their UK cocktail competition, Culture Colliders, a competition that celebrates the fusion of British and Indian heritage through the art of mixology.

With Culture Colliders, a recent bottle rebrand and this latest win under their belt, Desi Daru is poised for another ambitious year of expansion, continuing to make waves in the industry with their multi award-winning liquids.
