Comida Fest is the first fully Latin American street food festival in London, and it’s returning this summer after a fantastic debut on the Southbank last year.
The fest aims to take visitors on a journey through Latin American food – start your day eating tacos from Mexico City, before moving onto a bandeja paisa from Bogotá and finishing with an açaàbowl from Rio de Janeiro, all without leaving London.
The team of curators have sourced out the best of Latin American street traders in London to present some of the finest food around.
The July weekend not only kicks off the festival, but also celebrates the 110th birthday of Mexico’s most iconic artist, Frida Kahlo, on the 8th of July, and the Argentine Independence Day on the 9th. Argentina’s independence will be celebrated in true’porteño’ style, and guests will be invited to dance away with a tango show and Argentine music.
No Latin fiesta would be completed without an arts and culture programme. Expert DJs and bands will be playing top Latin tunes during late afternoons and evenings, whilst the morning will be dedicated to family activities, including games, storytelling and workshops.
