This summer heralds the launch of the Pop-Up Picture Company – creators of unique food and film experiences, all set in stunning locations – with chef Rick Stein headlining its first instalment of movie nights.

Entitled Rick Steins Sunset Cinema, the event will debut at Buckinghamshires historic Cliveden House, in the famous walled Spa Garden, from 21st June. Nestled just outside the village of Taplow, Cliveden House is steeped in history and boasts dramatic, scenic views across the River Thames and Chiltern Hills.

The cinema will also pop up at Chewton Glen Hotel in Hampshire from 9th July. Located on the edge of the New Forest, Chewton Glen was built in the eighteenth century and has over 139 acres of stunning parkland, woodland and gardens and is only a stones throw from the beautiful Solent coast.

The gastronomic film nights follow the winter sell-out success of the Pop-Up Picture Houses run of movie screenings within the Old Town Hall building in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. The event ran from December 1st 2016 to February 5th 2017 with two-courses of indulgent comfort food created by two Michelin-starred chef, Tom Kerridge served to cinema-goers throughout the movie, plus a mouth-watering treat of The Hand and Flowers ice cream.

In the grounds of Cliveden House and Chewton Glen, guests can expect a suitably summery menu of seafood dishes curated by Rick Stein. The menu will use the finest seafood and produce, sourced from Ricks trusted suppliers and the local area where possible and will include perse tasty menus featuring lamb, a vegetarian option and plenty of Ricks signature seafood dishes.

With a different classic film to be screened each evening, both venues will provide a backdrop for a unique, al fresco summer evening of fun, food and film, to be shared in comfort with family and friends.

Tom Kerridge, one of the four friends that initially came up with the Pop-Up Picture House concept, is delighted the culinary movie experiences are continuing. To celebrate his ongoing involvement in the project, Toms famous ice cream will be served usherette style at each screening, carrying on the tradition from the Pop-Up Picture House.

Following Rick Steins Sunset Cinema, the Pop-Up Picture Company is gearing up for an eclectic programme of events held in various locations across the UK with more top chefs.
