Spain’s love affair with the gin and tonic, or’gin tonic’, as it’s known to the Spanish, has introduced a new category of drinking hole, the specialist gin bar. Carefully sourced gins from distilleries as far afield as Canada, Holland and Finland are served as a sophisticated accompaniment to tapas. Omar’s planning to bring the Spanish passion for gin found in these gins bars to Shoreditch.
At Tapas Revolution, Omar is serving gins distilled exclusively in Spain, from the Balearic Islands in the South to the Galician region in the North. The new additions to the drinks menu, all served in the traditional Spanish balloon glass; include Gin Mare, which for £9 will be served with Fevertree Mediterranean Tonic, basil and rosemary, bringing out the herbal notes of the gin.
Tapas Revolution Shoreditch is Omar’s third tapas bar opening, following in the footsteps of the critically acclaimed Tapas Revolution in Westfield London (Shepherd’s Bush) and Tapas Revolution in Bluewater (Kent).
