The Lighterman welcomes the warmer months with the launch of its newly reimagined first-floor terrace in partnership with French aperitif brand Lillet.

Overlooking the fountains of Granary Square and the peaceful stretch of Regent’s Canal, The Lighterman a contemporary pub and dining room has opened its first floor terrace in collaboration with Lillet aperitif.

The collaboration celebrates the best of British seasonal dining but with a French twist, pairing fresh seafood-led dishes with Lillet’s signature aperitifs.

Menu highlights include a zesty seabass tartare layered with creamy crushed avocado, fresh chilli and a splash of lime.

Plump grilled whole king prawns bathed in aromatic chilli and garlic butter, served alongside golden skin-on fries; and Maldon Rock Oysters, served chilled with a tangy Shallot & Cabernet Sauvignon mignonette and a dash of Tabasco for a briny kick.

To complement the dishes, guests can pair with a refined cocktail such as the effervescent Lillet 75, a sparkling blend of Champagne, Lillet Blanc, elderflower and verjus.

A crisp and aromatic Martini crafted with vodka or gin, Lillet Blanc, delicate plum sake and a twist of grapefruit.

Or the refreshingly herbaceous Lillet Rose Spritz, mixing Lillet Rosé with tonic and a fragrant sprig of thyme.
