Platapian a new Thai restaurant part of the Patara family has welcomed Chef Wai from Rasik Local Kitchen this September.

From 23rd-30th September to celebrate contemporary Thai cuisine Platapian is serving some exciting dishes created with collaboration with Chef Wai.

Chef Sala ‘Waii’ Sakdadej, from the award-winning chef’s table restaurant, Rasik Local Kitchen takes his inspiration from Northern Thai culinary traditions.

His vision of Thai cuisine blends tradition with creativity, infusing classic Thai dishes and cookery methods, with modern interpretations.

Similarly focussed on heritage, Platapian’s menu draws on the time-honoured family recipes of restaurateur Nam Raiva, celebrating food memories passed down through generations.

The exclusive menu and dishes created by Chef Wai and Nam celebrates Northern Thai tradition and includesdeep-fried pork with ma-khwaen pepper and fried braised beef with galangal chilli flakes.

A mixed berry fruit salad will be served with nam poo, a fermented crab dip. Further dishes include a Northern-style hin-lay beef curry served with mint sauce, yum jin tub, a smashed pork tripe spicy salad and larb muang nuea mu, a spicy minced pork salad and popular Northern Thai dish.
