Valentine’s Day is a celebration of romantic, platonic and everything in between connection. From intimate dinners for two to lively Galentine’s gatherings with friends.

London offers endless ways to mark the Valentine’s and Galentines occasion and this year it falls on Saturday, making for even a bigger celebration. We’re thrilled to share our picks.

The Mayfair Chippy

For British classics but with a fine flair The Mayfair Chippy has created specials in both Mayfair and Knightsbridge locations from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th February with a lobster pot booth at The Mayfair Chippy Knightsbridge.

The Mayfair Chippy’s Lobster Fish Pie (£65) – a decadent and hearty dish with that all important aphrodisiac ingredient.

The pie is made for two and includes lobster, Cornish crab, crayfish tails, smoked haddock and tarragon to Afternoon Sea for Two filled with all things from the sea.

To enjoy the day to the fullest couples can also prebook a ‘Lobster Pot’ booth. Decorated with nautical nets, dangling gold lobsters courtesy of designer Lottie Day.

The Greenhouses, Marylebone

For a Galentine’s private dining venue consider The Greenhouses in Marylebone.

Tucked away opposite Great Portland Street Station just a stone’s throw from Old Marylebone Town Hall, the venue offers three gorgeous glass green houses, adorned with beautiful floral garlands, sparkling lights and elegant tablescaping.

Set within the grounds of a Grade I listed former church, this hidden gem promises a Galentine’s dinner like no other filled with sharing menu of seasonal Middle Eastern style plates as well as a selection of curated wines to pair.

Smith’s Bar & Grill

Smith’s Bar & Grill invites couples to indulge in a romantic dining experience in the heart of Paddington.

On February 13th  and 14th, guests can enjoy an exclusive 5-course menu with a glass of bubbles, paired with enchanting live music and thoughtful touches for just £70 per person.

Every couple will receive a picture from the photobooth, a rose and more surprises as part  of this extraordinary Valentine’s celebration, ensuring guests leave with cherished memories.

The bar also offers £1 oysters, available every Friday and Saturday from 6pm to 10pm.

Ayllu at Paddington

Guests are encouraged to start the evening at Ayllu’s sister restaurant, Smith’s Bar & Grill, located above Ayllu to take advantage of the Smith’s offer.

£1 oysters and 2-for-1 cocktails, making it the perfect pre-dinner stop.

The Valentine’s experience is priced at £80 per person, including the full nine-course sharing tasting menu, a glass of bubbles, live Spanish guitar music and all romantic extras.

Guests will be treated to a 9 course Nikkei-inspired sharing tasting menu, designed to be shared and savoured together. Highlights include freshly prepared guacamole, vibrant ceviche, indulgent truffle sushi, and Peruvian beef BBQ.

BAM

For all the gals out there who love to sign or maybe forced by the friends BAM is hosting a first-ever Friday bottomless evening brunch. Dedicated to Galentine’s on Friday 13th February from 6pm.

Guests are invited to gather the girl gang and toast to friendship with a Late Night Brunch experience designed to start the weekend in style.

Guests can enjoy one main dish with a side of crispy potato tots, 60 minutes of bottomless prosecco or nosecco, one hour of private karaoke and a special treat on the house.

Setting the soundtrack for the night, BAM’s DJ will be spinning all the ultimate guilty pleasures and female-fronted anthems, from Destiny’s Child and Britney Spears to Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Rihanna, Ariana Grande and Little Mix.

Pavyllon London & Bar Antoine

Enjoy a romantic dinner à deux at Pavyllon London at Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane with a menu curated by the world’s most Michelin-starred chef, Yannick Alléno.

The six-course tasting menu showcases elegant, modern French dishes such as steamed Comté cheese souffle, seabass aiguillettes with crushed black truffle blanc and, for dessert, a Passion Chocolat. 

To elevate the evening further, visit adjoining Bar Antoine for the limited-edition  “Rouge Royal” cocktail.

Created with butter-infused Belvedere Vodka, black pepper, raspberry cordial, Rasteau and Moët & Chandon, served with a selection of French savoury bites – cheers to l’amour!

The Landmark London – Afternoon Tea with Ballet 

For an indulgent daytime tryst, The Landmark London offers a Valentine’s inspired Afternoon Tea. Set in the iconic Winter Garden atrium amongst the palm teas.

Picture-perfect patisserie takes centre stage alongside elevated savouries and bubbles with special guests on the Valentine’s Day itself.

14th February will host a magical performance as elegant ballerinas pirouette and prance to the sounds of a live pianist. 

From £75 per person, available 9th–15th February, 2.30-5pm Monday-Friday and 1-5pm weekends

Mallow – Six Plant-Based Courses

With a passion for seasonality, sustainability and quality ingredients, Mallow brings a six-course menu to the table this Valentine’s Day.

The meu showcases the very best of plant-based cooking.

Expect focaccia drizzled with citrus almond pesto, wild mushroom ravioli with pink peppercorn and sage.

To complete there would be specially designed showstopping desserts to finish including an elderflower panna cotta with poached rhubarb and a tiramisu chocolate cup.
