Horizons casino reveals its newly refurbished gaming floor and the launch of Skewd, a new restaurant concept that brings Anatolian cooking to the heart of Leicester Square.
Horizons’ new interior pays homage to the building’s rich history . Its new terrace, seating up to 65, overlooking Leicester Square provides views of one of London’s most iconic locations.
At the heart of the new offering is Horizons new culinary partner Skewd. Founder and executive chef Maz Demir has built a reputation for redefining traditional Anatolian cuisine at his Skewd restaurants across locations in Cockfosters and The Grove hotel in Hertfordshire.
The new outpost in Leicester Square within Horizons Casino features an open fire mangal and a striking graffiti wall by artist Mr Lee. The restaurant also features a private dining room seating up to 12 guests for intimate celebrations and corporate dining experiences.
Skewd’s menu celebrates the rich culinary traditions of Anatolia . Standout dishes include the Wagyu Adana (coming soon), featuring rich, Wagyu beef spiced and grilled over open fire for intense depth and flavour, and Ali Nazik, a traditional Anatolian dish elevated with smoky aubergine purée topped with tender grilled lamb, finished with house-made chilli oil and fresh herbs.
In a first for the casino, Skewd will soon introduce a breakfast offering that extends from morning through afternoon. The extensive Anatolian Breakfast Spread features artisanal jams, eggs prepared to preference, honey and buffalo cream with pistachios, mulberry and tahini molasses.
Savoury highlights include merguez on hung yoghurt with sumac, hellim with fire-roasted tomatoes, homemade corned beef, and shallow- fried seasonal vegetables topped with burnt butter and pepper purée. The spread also features filo pastry with aged feta, lor cheese with berry coulis, seasonal fruits, and a Mediterranean cheese selection, all accompanied by breakfast pide and an array of traditional breads including poğaça, simit, and pisi.
Skewd will also be serving a specialised snacking menu designed specifically for Horizons’ gaming patrons. An innovative interactive menu system allows diners to easily filter dishes by allergies, dietary restrictions, and personal preferences with just a few taps.
Horizons and Skewd is open to patrons over 18 years of age.
