London is getting a taste of Athens. Greek hotspot Taverna Ermou is opening its first UK outpost at St Christopher’s Place on 21 March 2026, bringing laid-back Athenian charm to the heart of the West End.
Created by hospitality group ERGON, the 120-cover restaurant is designed as a welcoming neighbourhood “living room” — a place to gather, linger, and eat well. Expect warm, unfussy hospitality and a menu rooted in tradition, led by Culinary Director Panagiotis Xanthis.

The food? Pure Greece. Start your day with a classic koulouri and Greek yoghurt, then dive into a seafood-led menu built around fresh, simple flavours. Highlights include handmade dips like taramosalata and spanakopita, plus the standout Crab Giouvetsi — orzo baked with rich, sweet crab.
There’s plenty beyond the sea too, from grilled favourites to comforting classics, all rounded off with nostalgic desserts like syrupy galaktoboureko and indulgent profiteroles.
With natural textures, an open kitchen, and communal tables, the space is designed to feel effortless and inviting — just like a true Athenian taverna.
Same spirit, new address: Taverna Ermou is set to bring a slice of Athens to London — no passport required.
