Following on from La Fête de la Gastronomie, French mustard brand La Maison Maille have partnered with French D&D London restaurant to create the latest en vogue dessert, the first mustard macaron.

Head chef at Coq d’Argent’s, Damien Rigollet, has experimented with different flavours in order to take a unique twist on macarons. The sweet treat features savory Maille mustard as a key ingredient and is set to tantilise taste buds.

To celebrate this unique partnership, the Maille Boutique at Piccadilly will be hosting a one-off mustard masterclass on Tuesday, 13 September with Damien Rigollet, who will talk about the flavours that inspire him, his Maille macaron creation and tips on making the perfect macaron.

Attendees will be able to try the limited edition French treats and get hands-on experience in macaron decorating and tasting, with a selection to take home at the end.

The macarons will be on sale from 13 September onwards at Coq d’Argent. They will also be available to purchase from the Maille Boutique at £5.50 for a box of two.
