This spring Maille is celebrating the natural sweetness of honey in harmony with piquant Dijon Maille with two new and exclusive variants – acacia honey with orange blossom and acacia honey with walnut.
You can definitely taste the floral notes in the acacia honey with orange blossom mustard. The fruitiness of the orange peel brings a freshness and a vibrant and eye-catching colour. Maille recommend making this into a dressing which brings a wonderfully summery feel to a salad, or alternatively try pairing it with duck.
Acacia honey and walnut is my favourite of the set. The nutty walnut comes through fantastically and can be paired with many different dishes, including perking up a ham and cheese croissant at lunchtime. Or, pair with goats cheese on a salad or tart, or use to make a tangy and warming crust on chicken.
Maille have paired the two new flavours with their popular balsamic vinegar and honey mustard in a delightfully pretty and bright set. The balsamic mustard is deep and dark in colour, and the tangy character of balsamic vinegar shines through. Again, this mustard makes a brilliant salad dressing, or an alternative to balsamic with mozzarella, fresh sliced tomato and warm bread.
