Engel Bar in The City’s Grade I Listed Royal Exchange just launched its sun trap of a summer terrace, right in the epicentre of the Square Mile.

Surrounded by some of London’s most iconic architecture this al fresco spot is serving up spritzes, magnums of rose and steins of beer alongside gourmet German hot dogs, schnitzel, fresh salads, and small plates in addition to a Champagne brunch every Saturday.

Choose from Der Klassiker German sausage topped with caramelised onions, the truffle-laced Der Elegante, or the fiery Der Hot Hot Hot Dog (spiked with famously punchy Buldak sauce).

Pair with draught beer by the pint or stein, a refreshing selection of Spritzes, or a chilled glass of wine.

On Saturdays Engel Bar also offers half priced bottles of Champagne for brunch diners.

Engel Terrace is an extension of the iconic Engel Bar and performance space.

The terrace offers two levels: the Upper Terrace, amongst the Grade I Listed columns of The Royal Exchange, and the sun-drenched Lower Terrace, overlooked by the Bank of England.

Guests can enjoy Engel’s curated Austrian and German café and bar menu while enjoying the atmosphere of London’s historic financial district.

The Engel Terrace is open from 11am – 8pm Monday to Saturday.
