13th of May is World Cocktail Day, let’s celebrate with a cocktail or two.

‘Spain: Carlos I Brandy Sour ‘
45ml Carlos I, 15cl Lemon Juice, 1 Egg White, 10ml Sugar Syrup, 2 or 3 Ice Cubes. Mix the ice, Carlos I, lemon juice and liquid sugar in a cocktail shaker. Shake strongly until the outside of the shaker frosts up or feels cold. Serve in a cocktail tumbler. Use egg white for a richer texture and foam formation.

‘Ireland: Micil Connemartini‘
35ml Micil Irish Poitín, 15ml Micil Connemara Irish Cream, 15ml Coffee Liqueur, 1 shot of Freshly Brewed Espresso. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, fill with ice and shake vigorously. Double strain in a chilled glass of your choosing.

‘Poland Kavka Martini‘
100ml Kavka Vodka, A Spray of Cocchi Vermouth, Garnish – a Green Olive. Spray a frozen martini glass with the vermouth and pour in the Kavka vodka. Drop in a green olive.

‘Spain Nordesino’
25ml Nordés Gin, 50ml Albariño Wine, 100ml Tonic Water, Garnish: Lemon Twist and Three White Grapes. Fill Nordesiño glass with plenty of ice. Pour Nordés Gin in to glass and top up with Albariño Wine and Tonic. Gently and briefly stir and garnish with a lemon twist and a skewer with three white grapes.

30ml Axia Spirit, 15ml Crème de Fraise, 5ml Yellow Chartreuse, 100ml Prosecco, 25ml Soda. Build into glass over ice, garnish with strawberry slices and serve.

‘Mexico Mijenta La Rosa’
60ml Mijenta Blanco Tequila, 30ml Hibiscus and Raspberry syrup, 30ml Lime juice, 1 tea spoon rosewater. Shake all ingredients with plenty ice, Strain into a highball glass with fresh ice and top with soda water. Garnish with a baby dry rose bud
