Where South Kensington’s iconic thoroughfares of Queen’s Gate and the Old Brompton Road meet is the gracious Victorian stuccoed frontages that house The K Bar. As part of The Kensington, this cosy drinking den is the perfect place to sip one of its newly launched quintet of dessert cocktails.

Invented by bar manager Ben Manchester, the mix includes a delicious Crème Brûlée influenced Martini through to its unusual Lemon Tart Flip – with the added surprise of a raw egg.

The new drinks we tasted include: Jerry’s Chocolate Orange, with Sailor Jerry Spiced rum, Mozart chocolate liqueur, Grand Marnier, orange juice and double cream while the Rum Harvard contains rum, vermouth and Crème de Cassis.

For those looking for a sweet hit, the Crème Brûlée Martini will satisfy with its concoction of Vanilla infused rum, caramel syrup and double cream and for chocolate lovers, there’s the slightly bitter Chocolate Elit, made with Stolchinaya Elit vodka, Mozart chocolate liqueur, vermouth and chocolate bitters.

A firm favourite apparently is the Lemon Tart Flip Ã¢â‚¬â€œ a mix of Ketel One Citroen and Stolchinaya Vanilla with a touch of lemon juice, Monin Lemon Pie Syrup and a raw egg.

Like all the cocktails it’s £10.
