The Spanish autonomous region is showing its best gastronomic products and wines in up to 27 Spanish restaurants and specialised shops in London.

Each of the 27 restaurants participating in the campaign will include on their menus at least one dish cooked with ingredients coming from the Castilla y León region along with a wide selection of local wines.

Visitors to any of these venues will be able to savour local delicacies such as Jamón Ibérico de Guijuelo or chuletillas de lechazo (based on the Segovia tradition). Likewise, a selection of cold meat products such as Morcilla de Burgos (black pudding), Judiones de La Granja from Segovia (giant white beans), Cecina de León (smoked meat), Quesos de la Quesería Revilla o Montenegro de Ávila (selection of a variety of cheeses) will feature in many of the restaurants.

Ribera del Duero and Rueda are the home of internationally well-known wines like Damana5, Tabula, or Protos, and Legaris or Ederra Berdejo, respectively. All of these named products will show the true DNA of Castilla y León to Londoners.

There will be several competition and prizes for visitors to the participating restaurants in the campaign. The first prize will be a trip for two to Spain, including return tickets from London-Madrid and one-night stay in Segovia.

Furthermore, throughout the month of June, there will be organised events surrounding Castilla y León products. Those include a dinner pairing both wines and local products. Likewise, five stores in London will organise a tasting of the most representative wines in the region.
