This summer Aubaine, the all-day dining brasserie with its own patisserie and boulangerie at its heart will be celebrating a’Summer en Provence’ across all of its nine London restaurants, in a tribute to the rich gastronomic heart of the region.
Until Tuesday 30th August, a celebration of the historical southern province will launch in Aubaine’s restaurants in Kensington, Selfridges, Mayfair, Marylebone, Wimbledon, Brompton Cross, Regent Street, Hyde Park and Broadgate Circle, for those looking to enjoy a taste of sun-soaked southern France in London.
All of the restaurants will be dressed in Provençal lavender, to transport guests to the region’s iconic vibrant lavender fields, in bloom at the height of summer, with a special menu of dishes, rosés and lavender-infused cocktails complementing the characteristic surroundings.
The chefs have created a specially crafted set menu of traditional Provençal dishes, which showcase the rich gastronomic roots and exquisite cuisine at the heart of the region.
For a taste of southern France, guests can opt for two courses for £15.50, or three for £19.50. To begin, they can choose between three starters including a light Provençale’pistou’ with Bayonne ham, or zesty Cod brandade, spring leaf & lemon. Next, they will enjoy delicious fresh classic regional mains such as succulent Roasted corn fed chicken breast with green olives, rosemary and toasted fregola, or the hearty’La petit bouillabaisse’, featuring sea bass, red mullet, mussels, squid & potatoes.
Standing out from the tempting dessert offering is the traditional favourite of Tart Tropezienne. Aubaine’s version has been specially created by Head Pastry Chef Alix Andre, and features a touch of orange blossom for a twist on the classic. Featuring indulgent layers of smooth cream and buttery brioche, Tart Tropezienne is a famed dessert that originated in St Tropez, and is a rare find in London.
For wine enthusiasts looking to explore the region’s unmatchable rosé offering, a special menu of Provençal rosés from top producers including Miravel, Le Château Beaulieu and Mas La Chevalière will flaunt Provence’s rich history and status as a core French winemaking region. Those craving something a little different can opt for a limited edition refreshing Lavender Ice Tea, for £4, or Lavender Collins for £8.
