A Long Weekend of Michelin-Starred Mountain Feasts Taking Place in the Italian Alps

Courmayeur Mont Blanc, Italy has announced the return of the 9th Mountain Gourmet Ski Experience taking place from 22nd to 24th March 2024.

Created by Momentum Ski’s Amin Momen and Heston Blumenthal, this foodie event has a reputation for attracting outstanding chefs to the ski resort of Courmayeur. 2024 will be no exception and will celebrate the return of the highly anticipated ski season in style – playing host to Jean-Philippe Blondet, 3* Michelin Executive Chef Patron at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester for the second consecutive year.

Joining him and returning to Courmayeur is Claude Bosi, the two-star Michelin Chef Patron ofBibendum, an elegant, bi-level eatery with Art Deco stained-glass windows offering French haute cuisine, as well as operating other iconic UK dining venues.

Italian Chef Emin Haziri, one of Forbes’ prestigious thirty Under 30, will also be joining, showcasing the finest of Aosta Valley cuisine.

This year’s Gourmet Ski experience introduces a new Michelin-starred barbecue lunch and après ski with live entertainment, accommodating up to 150 guests – an event bigger than ever before, as well as a signature mountain tasting dinner at Les Dames Anglaises.

The itinerary of Gourmet Ski will include meet and greets with the chefs, skiing and lunch experiences on the mountains and this year, guests can choose from one or two experiences and curate their own agenda for the weekend:

Friday 22nd March – Gastronomic Mountain Michelin Starred Dinner at Les Dames Anglaises

Visitors will experience a Michelin-starred dinner at Les Dame Anglaises, an alpine-style mountain hut located at the top of the cable car. The hut features a six-course tasting dinner crafted by Michelin-starred international chefs and their teams.

Saturday 23rd March – BBQ and Après Ski Party at Rifugio Maison Vieille

After a day on the slopes, visitors are invited to a Michelin-starred late barbecue lunch and après ski party at the iconic Rifugio Maison Vieille. What was once a summer stable has now been transformed into one of the most popular restaurants in the area, located at the top of Maison Vielle’s chairlift. With incredible views of Mont Blanc, an outdoor barbecue lunch will be prepared by the Michelin-starred chefs in conjunction with the restaurant team, with live music, wine and cocktails included.

Sunday 24th March

Joining Jean-Philippe and Claude on the final day of Gourmet Ski, is Emin Haziri, Executive Chef at Courmayeur’s Grand Hotel Royal e Golf. Emin Haziri has recently left the Michelin-starred Cannavacciuolo Bistrot in Turin to chase a new Michelin star here in Courmayeur, at the helm of the Grand Hotel Royal e Golf. Their teams will prepare live canapés to be offered to Courmayeur visitors in the historic centre at Jardin de l’Ange with a Q&A and cocktail/wine pairings. The event will be free to attend.
