Over the past nine months some of the country’s most eminent chefs and restaurants have taken over the reigns in the kitchen at The Fountain restaurant at Fortnum & Mason.
To see out the year in style, Fortnum’s is putting on two flagship events. On Thursday 27 November Michelin-starred chef Angela Hartnett will host a white truffle extravaganza, and then on Thursday 4 December food royalty Tom Parker Bowles will present an evening of meat dishes inspired by recipes from his new book,’Let’s Eat Meat’.
A White Truffle Extravaganza with Angela Hartnett

One of the great creative chefs of her generation, Angela will convey the unequalled joy of the sight, the smell and the taste of white truffles with a sumptuous seven-course menu. Befitting the wondrous qualities of the white truffle, the menu includes: Antipasti, Pumpkin Soup, Scrambled Eggs with Sour Dough Soldiers, White Truffle Risotto, Creedy Carver Chicken with Creamed Potato Puree and Roasted Ceps, Vanilla Tart Tea with Soaked Prunes and Biscotti & White Truffles.

Let’s Eat Meat with Tom Parker Bowles

The final supper club of 2014 will be an extra special evening hosted by food writer, and friend of Fortnum’s, Tom Parker Bowles. Tom will team up with Fortnum’s Executive Chef Sydney Aldridge to develop an exciting and innovative meat-based menu inspired by recipes from his new book’Let’s Eat Meat’. Sure to be a night to remember, a number of meat aficionados will be in attendance to take part in a lively debate on Britain’s changing attitude towards meat, and the state of the meat industry today. There will also be an opportunity to purchase signed copies of Tom’s book.
