Bryn Williams’ iconic Primrose Hill restaurant will put a spotlight on craft beer’s place at the fine-dining table, for one night only

Goose Island Beer Co. has partnered with iconic neighbourhood restaurant Odette’s, to create an exclusive fine-dining tasting menu carefully curated around craft beer and food pairings.

Launching on Wednesday 26th July, for one night only, the six-course menu features a variety of dishes expertly selected to pair with a range of Goose Island’s Vintage Ale range – the Chicago-based brewer’s selection of unique barrel-aged beers, along with Italian craft beers from Birra Del Borgo.

From savoury to sweet, each dish will use only the finest fresh, seasonal ingredients and be accompanied by a specially chosen craft beer.

Odette’s head chef Will Gordon, Goose Island’s Ambassador Josh Smith and Beer Sommelier Jonny Tyson will be on-hand to talk guests through the complex flavour combinations of each food and craft beer pairing.

Jonny Tyson, Beer Sommelier working with Goose Island, comments “When it comes to food and drink pairings, especially in the context of fine-dining, people are inclined to think of wine as the only possible accompaniment.

“With so many different types of beers available – and as a result, a variety of flavours – this one-off tasting menu with Odette’s is a real opportunity to demonstrate the potential of craft beer at the dining table, and change perceptions around how it can be enjoyed.

“From seafood to salads, meat to cheese, guests will be able to sample a variety of dishes and beer pairings that will show off the versatility of craft beer and how it’s the perfect accompaniment to different types of food”.

Chef Patron at Odette’s, Bryn Williams, comments: “I am very excited to be matching our food with these great beers and discovering new flavor combinations.

Head chef Will Gordon adds, “Odette’s menu is driven by our kitchen garden, and it’s really exiting to explore these interesting beers with our fresh ingredients”.

The Odette’s and Goose Island food and craft beer tasting menu will be exclusively available on Wednesday 26th July at 7pm. Tickets are priced at £70 per person, booking is essential.
