Kindred, the restored, Grade II Listed coworking space, restaurant, bar and cultural events venue in Hammersmith, has teamed up with local food charity the Nourish Hub to launch a monthly community dinner scheme where all diners eat for free.

It can be hard to meet new people in London, and difficult to put yourself out there when times are tight – so Kindred wants to make that a little bit easier for everyone.

Launching on Monday 4th December, these monthly dinners will take place one Monday a month from 7pm – 9pm, to continue bringing together the local West London community in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

There’ll be plenty of food to share on the table, and Kindred will also provide guests with one complimentary drink, with subsequent drinks available to purchase on the night. To help you get to know fellow diners, there will also be some optional games to help people get to know one another so if you are coming by yourself, you won’t be alone!

There will be an option to donate to Kindred’s partner charity, the Nourish Hub, but there’s no obligation to do so. As part of the London Good Growth Fund, the Nourish Hub is focused on making better places, empowering people and growing prosperity.

Each month will be a new menu. On Monday 4th December, guests will enjoy a menu created by Kindred chef Khaled Merah – inspired by the flavours and ingredients found in his home country of Algeria, where food plays a central role in bringing families together at the end of the day.

For the main course, there is a choice of lamb tagine with vegetable couscous, tabouleh and flat bread, or miso and mango glazed aubergine, buckwheat and pomegranate crumble.

Guests can finish with something sweet and enjoy desserts of Mouhalabieh, a Middle Eastern, set milk pudding flavoured with rose water and vanilla or Basbousa, a warm and sticky semolina cake with coconut and almonds.

Founder Anna Anderson, recognised in CODE Hospitality’s 30 under 30 list, is passionate about the importance of community and believes that business should be about more than just making sales.

She comments: ‘It’s about contributing where we can, when we can. The launch of our monthly dinners will continue Kindred’s work in bringing together our community and helping West Londoners to meet, eat and enjoy time together in a beautiful setting.’
