Following the success of Sicily, the restaurant’s debut focus, La mia Mamma is launching Emilia-Romagna as the new region with a brand-new menu at the Chelsea restaurant from an Emilia-Romagna Mamma.

mcith_mama.jpgLa mia Mamma is a unique concept that offers authentic regional Italian cuisine whilst importing an Italian Mamma from a different region every season.

Emilia Romagna is famed for favourites such as Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma, Aceto Balsamico di Modena, which is well loved worldwide. Not only will these ingredients be prevalent in the mammas menu, but guests will be able to try real Lasagne and all-time favourite: Ragù Bolognese.

The new menu will feature a medley of regional dishes and the Mammas will prepare a daily selection of antipasti including piadine flat breads filled with cheese and cured meats and erbazzone, a type of savory filled pie.

The fresh pasta dishes include gramigna con ragù di salsiccia e funghi (slow cooked sausage with mushroom)and lasagna filled with seasonal ingredients and whatever mamma thinks is freshest and best.

Mains on the new menu include cotoletta Bolognese, breaded veal cutlets with Parma ham and parmesan cheese and pollo al Lambrusco, tender chicken cooked in Lambrusco, a typical red sparkling wine from Emilia Romagna.

Finish with a Zuppa Inglese, a distinctly regional Italian twist on a classic British trifle.

The cocktail list complements the menu and is suitably filled with regional ingredients like aceto Balsamico and Lambrusco, whilst a curated list of Italian wines offers perfect pairs to these regional Italian dishes.
