Acclaimed Smithfield Market bar Oriole is launching its’Supper Club With’ series by partnering up with Burmese restaurant Lahpet for a one-night-only kitchen collaboration on Wednesday 10th April.

mcith_PastedGraphic-2%20%281%29.jpgOriole Head Chef Gustavo Giallonardo together with Head Chef of Lahpet Zaw Mahesh have created a menu – fusing the flavours of Myanmar with Oriole’s Latin-inspired dishes.

Gustavo is originally from Argentina and creates food inspired by his South American farming heritage. He defines his menu for Oriole as’new Pan-Latin cuisine’, and has made original and innovative dishes a mainstay of Oriole’s offering alongside its award-winning cocktails.

Tickets are just £35 and include four courses of delicious taster plates featuring fabulous fusion dishes including silken truffle tofu; ginger salad tostadas; and dreamy cassava coconut cake.

In true supper club style, live jazz from Baraka will kick off at 9pm. The excellent London-based jazz band will be creating and performing their own material, inspired by a mix of and influences from South African swing, Caribbean shuffle, Brazilian beats and more.

This is the first of the’Oriole Supper Club With…’ series which will see the bar partner with restaurants which take inspiration from around the world, mirroring Oriole’s globally inspired cocktail menu.
