March 2016 will see barbeque experts The Blues Kitchen become London’s Holy Grail for all things ribs, with the launch of Rib Fest 2016.

From Monday 28th to Thursday 31st March, the forecourt on Acre Lane at the Brixton diner will be transformed into a heavin’, smokin’, juicy fire pit serving ribs from some of the world’s finest Pitmasters signature ribs.

Pitmasters from London’s street food scene as well as award-winning chefs from the US will take up residency outside the Brixton Blues, firing up a custom-built, 108-inch smoker for a BBQ blowout like no other.

Monday with legendary’catertainer’ DJ BBQ, with live music from London Boy’s Dave James’ Acoustic Blues

Tuesday is the day of street food hero, The Rib Man, whose delicacies will be doused in his’Christ on a Bike’ sauce and authentic Bluegrass from the Ben Sommers Band

Wednesday turns into a more refined affair with Old Hat Jazz Band’s Swing Night and some Jacob’s Ladder cut 16 hour Memphis-style smoked ribs from Shotgun BBQ’s Brad McDonald

Thursday’s finale will be a showcase of the Pitmaster collective, Home Team BBQ from South Carolina, USA known as “most life-changing ribs in America’ serving up Carolina style St. Louis Pork rib and their Alabama white BBQ sauce

To celebrate #RibFest, a stack of the Short Beef Rib (traditionally Texan) and 2 stacks of the melt in your mouth St Louis Pork Rib, will be priced at £10 across all the Blues Kitchen restaurants in Camden, Shoreditch and Brixton throughout the four days.
