There’s a champagne-themed summer terrace in collaboration with Laurent-Perrier, a gesture of thanks to the NHS and a new all-day delivery and takeaway service.

mcith_Sea%20Containers%20Restaurant%20%EPartnering for a second year with famed Champagne house Laurent-Perrier, the new Sea Containers London X Laurent-Perrier, Summer Terrace will give guests the chance to enjoy that most quintessential of summer drinks – Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé – whilst admiring uninterrupted views across the Thames and St Paul’s.

Guests can choose from glasses or bottles of Laurent-Perrier Cuvée champagne, and two bespoke cocktails; The French Sbagliato – Contratto Bitter, Lillet Rose, green strawberry and peach and Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé (£14.50); and the Southbank Spritz – St Germain, Grey Goose La Poire and Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée (£13). These will be served alongside an all-day food menu of modern-European dishes such as Pappardelle with rabbit ragu, crab on sourdough, and cod loin with baby gems, peas and bacon.

Popping up for the duration of the summer, the vibrant terrace will feature a neon pink sign encouraging guests to once again’Soak Up the South Bank.’ The al fresco space will wrap around Sea Containers Restaurant and will be enclosed by a bright yellow picket fence.

The terrace will also be decked out with tropical foliage, succulents and terrariums, as well as heaters and blankets for when the nights draw in.

This year, there will also be a Frosé takeaway service available, courtesy of exclusive winery Ultimate Provence. Bringing a taste of the South of France to the South Bank – guests and passers-by will be able to order refreshing Frosé cocktails (£8) to take with them on a Thameside stroll or to enjoy in situ on the terrace.

For those looking to book brunch, Sea Containers Restaurant will also be offering its bottomless brunch on weekends. Guests can choose from a diverse menu of classic brunch dishes and weekend roasts, paired with bottomless drinks options including Mimosas, Rossinis and Grey Goose Bloody Marys, for just £19 for 1.5 hours, or a bottomless Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée option, at £59 per person.

Nominate Your NHS Hero

The summer terrace will also feature an Nominate Your NHS Hero Fan Mail booth and post box, from which guests and passers-by can pick up and fill in a rainbow Fan Mail form with inspirational stories of their NHS heroes.

Each story will go into a weekly draw and each NHS winner will be rewarded with a prize from the hotel, such as bottomless brunch for two or dinner and drinks in Sea Containers Restaurant.

The rainbow Fan Mail booth is an extension of the Nominate Your NHS Hero Campaign that Sea Containers London launched in May 2020, lighting up the hotel’s façade as a rainbow and giving away 365 room stays to NHS heroes that were nominated from around the country. The initiative was overwhelmed with entries and the team ended up giving away a further 180 rooms.

The Nominate Your NHS Hero Fan Mail booth will be open for entries on 25th July, before the restaurant opens.
