This is part of a wider, year-long celebration of the centenary of the legendary Italian film maker’s birth. Known for his distinct style that blends fantasy and baroque images with earthiness, Fellini is recognised as one of the greatest and most influential filmmakers of all time.

Dovetailing with the season, Fellini’s masterpiece La dolce vita will be shown in Bvlgari Hotel London’s private 47-seat Screening Room in remastered 4K definition and Sette will bring its most iconic scenes and characters to life with a specially-designed menu.

Before the screening, guests will enjoy a glass of champagne upon arrival and hear a short introduction to the film by an independent curator working with the BFI on the Fellini programme.

La dolce vita is one of Fellini’s most well-known films, which stands as a towering achievement of 1960s cinema.

Set in Rome during the height of the’Hollywood on the Tiber’ era, the episodic narrative follows jaded journalist Marcello Rubini (Marcello Mastroianni) on the trail of gossip on VIPs, including Swedish-American film star Sylvia Rank (Anita Ekberg).

Since its release, it is considered a masterpiece that’s had a profound influence on popular culture. It was La Dolce Vita, for instance, that coined the term’paparazzo’, which came to describe a certain type of relentless celebrity photographer.

After watching the film in the Bvlgari hotel’s Screening Room, guests will be invited to a meal at Sette restaurant, where the chefs have created a bespoke menu inspired by specific scenes in the film.

The four-course menu will include:

● Antipasti (to share):

â—‹ Italian ham with Pontina mozzarella

â—‹ Chicory, anchovy and pecorino salad

â—‹ Traditional artichokes Roman style

● Pasti (to share):
