TBGC celebrates International Pineapple Day with an immersive pop-up in London celebrating the’king’ of fruits.

mcith_2_My-night_700x400.jpgIn a bid to reinstate the pineapple as the ultimate symbol of hospitality and decadence, That Boutique-y Gin Company are hosting a weekend pop up dedicated to the pineapple.

This multi-sensory event will take place at 15 Bateman Street Gallery in Soho from midday until late to celebrate the fruit that makes their multi-award-winning Spit-Roasted Pineapple Gin so extraordinary.

From a Pineapple Museum, curated by food historian Tasha Marks, where the rich and fruity history of the pineapple is explored, to unlimited cheese and pineapple, a menu of refreshing pineapple cocktails and even scratch & sniff wallpaper, guests will get to experience and enjoy all things pineapple.

Boutique-y Gin offers a rich and unprecedented journey of discovery that’s grounded in creativity – that’s why they’ve collaborated with food historian, Tasha Marks to curate London’s first Pineapple Museum.

Tasha’s wealth of knowledge makes her the ultimate collaborator to ensure the pop-up is true to the history of the fruit, from the masterclasses to the scent used on the scratch & sniff wallpaper.

Masterclasses

Brand Ambassador Gareth Waughington will be leading six exclusive Pineapple Cocktail Masterclasses for groups of 12 throughout the weekend. Attendees will learn all about the regal history of the fruit from the 1400’s – present day, discover the Pineapple gin, how to serve it at home, and, of course, taste some fruity creations.

The Gin

To make Spit-Roasted Pineapple Gin, TBGC take fresh juicy pineapples, coat them in demerara sugar, and then spit roast and macerate them in premium quality gin.

Move over pink gin! Spit-Roasted Pineapple Gin isn’t simply like other fruit gin – it is the KING of fruit gins. Pineapple gins first appeared in the Victorian era as the ultimate symbol of hospitality and decadence. TBGC’s Spit-Roasted Pineapple Gin takes inspiration from these ancient recipes, going to eccentric lengths to make sure it’s as tasty as it can be.

TBGC’s Pineapple Mule combines Spit-Roasted Pineapple Gin and ginger beer with a good squeeze of lime –  making it the most refreshingly simple and delicious way to drink gin this summer.

TBGC Spit-Roasted Pineapple Gin will be available to buy in-store at the Pineapple Parlour. Any purchases made in-store receive a Canned Craft Cocktail and a Pineapple Gin goodie bag.
