English Wine Week kicks off on Saturday, 27th May and Vinoteca, London’s wine bar, restaurant and shop, is throwing open its cellar doors to celebrate the recent successes of the country’s home-grown wines.

From offering their own limited-edition English wine flight to hosting a free English wine tasting open to all, Vinoteca is the ideal spot to sample some of the best wine England has to offer.

On Tuesday, 30th May, join Vinoteca founders Brett Woonton and Charlie Young for a “Tasting Tuesday” session at their King’s Cross location, where wine connoisseurs and novices alike can sample six fantastic English wines from 5:30pm – 7:00pm. Sample tasters like the Bacchus 2014 from Camel Valley in Cornwall or the Surrey Gold NV from Denbies Estate in Surrey. Afterwards, take away the bottles you enjoyed most to drink at home for shop price (up 40-60% off).

Throughout English Wine Week, Vinoteca will offer a limited-edition English wine flight across all their locations, showcasing three outstanding varieties for £13.50.

Your taste buds will be guided through some of the Britain’s top wineries, starting with a glass of award-winning Bolney Bubbly Sparkling Wine made on the Bolney Estate in Sussex. Light and refreshing, this fantastic wine has toasty biscuit aromas and is made using the traditional method they use in Champagne, France. Afterwards, enjoy a glass of unique 2014 Pinot Blanc from the Stopham Estate in West Sussex. This pure English white is full bodied and fruity in character. Finish off the flight with a 2015 Redlands from the Denbies Estate in Surrey. A blend of Pinot Noir and early ripening grape varieties, this velvety red wine packs a punch.
