Lokal, the new restaurant from the team behind Fred Bakery and Faros, will open its doors on Friday 1st May 2026 in the heart of Fitzrovia.

Combining the rich culinary traditions of Türkiye with the energy and diversity of London, Lokal offers a contemporary dining concept that celebrates the country’s regional flavours.

The restaurant features 110 covers indoors and 14 covers outdoors, alongside a semi-private dining room, counter dining and a dedicated cocktail bar.

Led by Head Chefs Salih Serden and Akacan Agir, the kitchen brings together deep knowledge of Turkish culinary heritage with a contemporary approach.

The menu moves beyond traditional expectations, focusing on modern Turkish cooking with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients at its core. Inspired by regional flavours across Türkiye, it features refined small plates, and a cocktail list that echoes these influences. 

Honouring Anatolian roots while embracing its place within London’s dynamic dining scene, dishes include handmade mezze and fresh salads to reinterpretations of classics, such as Lamb Tandır and Lamb Loin.

Alongside these, there is also a thoughtful selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu.

Signature cocktail serves include Mesopotamia, a bold and vibrant blend of tequila infused with padrón peppers, rosé wine, Campari and rosehip cordial.

And Galata, an elegant, east-meets-west composition of Yeni rakı, Tokaji sweet wine, lychee liqueur and elderflower, paying homage to Istanbul’s iconic tower.

Design plays a central role in shaping the Lokal, with raw, tactile materials and warm finishes creating a setting that balances a contemporary aesthetic with an informal, welcoming atmosphere.
