Niaz Caan’s first restaurant, Paro will fully open on Thursday, 5th October.

A love letter to Calcutta, Paro will offer a modern interpretation of traditional Indian flavours of West Bengal and is Niaz’s first solo restaurant. It will be on soft launch with 50% off food from until Wednesday, 4th October.

Situated by The Lyceum Theatre at 21 Wellington Street, WC2E 7RQ, Paro will have 120 covers in the restaurant and 30 covers in the bar. It will open for lunch and dinner seven days a week and offer pre and post theatre dining.

23-year-old Chef Niaz has been cooking professionally since the age of 14 at Brick Lane’s City Spice. His menu at Paro will revolve around small plates and sharing dishes including the likes of: Mango Chickpea Chat; Bally Black Daal with slow-cooked black lentils and grandmother’s spice mix; Cottage Cheese Roll; Toddy Shop tiger prawns and signature slow roasted lamb shanks with saffron, charred garlic and coriander.
