YiQi, a brand new two floor restaurant focussing on dishes handpicked from across Southeast Asia is now open at 14 Lisle Street, WC2H 7BE.

Set over two floors, 80 cover YiQi’s interior features rattan and dark wood wall panelling, beautiful emerald walls and matching banquettes.

Key features include a wall made entirely of abacuses, impressive iced shellfish displays, a giant water bath and the bar that serves an ambitious list of well- made cocktails.

YiQi’s launch menu features Executive Chef Stanley Lum Wah Cheok’s, formerly Chef de Cuisine at Hakkasan Group, take on favourite handpicked dishes from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and mainland China.

Key dishes include the warming Cordyceps flower chicken soup. Salads feature the Southeast Asia satay chicken salad and the King oyster mushroom and kumquat salad.

Snacks include the signature charcoal chicken wings, Childhood radish rice cakes, Crispy Iberico pork with preserved bean sauce, Nyonya pandan chicken, Pasar malam prawn fritter and Street food style oyster pancake.

From the main course section, there are Malaysia satay lamb chops, Volcano Thai spareribs and Creamy pumpkin with king prawns.

Noodles feature Pork trotter butterfly noodles, Malaysia mee goreng and the Signature white curry soup noodle.

Lamb chops, Short rib and USDA beef can be cooked either teppanyaki or grilled over charcoal and are served with a selection of sauces, Thai green chilli, Nanyang, Asian delightful and Black pepper.

House speciality seafood features Skate with yuzu chilli spicy sauce, Crab with kamheong sauce and Lobster with yuzu chilli spicy sauce. Signature bamboo tube rice showcases coconut or turmeric rice steamed then served inside bamboo.

Assam seafood and seafood curry as well as Pork trotters’ ancient taste and Creamy chicken can all be added.

There are three desserts on offer, ABC, a towering volcano of shaved flavoured ice with traditional Malay garnish, Wagyu mousse, and the stunningly presented Passion fruit pudding.
