Cocomelt, London’s premium chocolate café, has just announced its summer menu, featuring new items including their tempting vanilla soft serve.
Cocomelt is all things chocolate, a little cute candy pink café with green foliage and three chocolate fountains on display in centre of Soho.

The menu features things like waffles, sushi crepes, milkshakes and the viral strawberry chocolate cup. But unlike questionable origin berry cups from the market, Cocomelt focuses on quality.
Set up by a female former office employee who turned her love for chocolate and desserts into business after she spotted a gap in the market Cocomelt welcomes sweet tooth guests from all ages.
Cocomelt has now added a few more items specially for summer:
Strawberry Cup Sundae (£9.50) – The Wimbledon icon. Cocomelt’s viral chocolate covered strawberries, with a summer twist! Enjoy creamy vanilla soft serve layered with juicy strawberries and finished with a drizzle of rich Belgian Chocolate.
Waffle Ice Cream Sando (£11) – It’s Cocomelt’s vanilla soft serve sandwiched between fresh waffles topped with Belgian Chocolate, strawberries and Biscoff biscuits – the ultimate creamy, yet crunchy combination.
Affogato or Matcha Affogato (£5.50) – A summer twist to the regular pick me up, this dessert features Cocomelt’s vanilla soft serve drowned in either specialty espresso or ceremonial-grade matcha.
For drinks in addition to the versatile chocolate that can be served cold or hot to suit the weather, there are also milkshakes and coffees plus the new – strawberry matcha, my kind of drink.
Ceremonial grade matcha, milk of choice and a pump of the French strawberry Monin syrup. Simple yet so refreshing. I’m also loving the unique cups, that all chilled drinks come in.

Shaped like a soda can they are sealed with a metal pop top after order for a satisfying crack and pop noise at the table.
To pair with the drinks we start with a waffle ice cream sando, warm crisp waffles and creamy refreshing soft serve between, surrounded by fresh strawberries and crunchy Biscoff crumb. It also comes topped with runny chocolate of choice, for us it’s dark chocolate from the chocolate foundation.
We also share a crepe fettuccine, a fun twist on the crepe or pasta depending how you see it. Sliced crepe into wide fettuccini like ribbons, generously drenched in dark runny chocolate and topped with strawberries.

It’s a larger portion designed to be shared and enjoyed together as we detangle and pull on the sweet ribbons each to our side with my guest competing who gets the longest ribbon.
Burrito is also a fun dish, sliced tropical fruit of bananas, pineapples, kiwi and strawberries tightly wrapped in crepe, drizzled with chocolate and rice crispies. It’s soft and sweet with a refreshing fruity sour middle and satisfying chocolate bitterness.
We definitely ordered more than we could handle but I had to also try the sushi crepe, strawberry and brownie filled crepes, sliced like sushi rolls and drizzled.
It’s an oddly satisfying dish, dark rich chocolate brownie, strawberry for a bit of fresh touch all wrapped in a delicate crepe.
The sugar rush is real – in the best way – thanks to the fresh fruit, it never tips into sickly sweet territory. Just pure, indulgent joy with a refreshing twist.
We leave happy with a takeaway box of our sweet items to enjoy later and the dark chocolate milkshake in the fancy yet convenient can.
Cocomelt is a great spot for a solo visitor for a drink and laptop work, a couple or family wherever craving something sweet and of good quality. It’s also open till late night, 10pm on Sundays and till 11 pm the rest of the week.
