Three new colours are on the menu plus an exclusive tasting platter in Covent Garden this September
This September, Dim Sum Library has a new collection of colourful, broth-filled Xiao Long Bao with flavours inspired by Thailand, Singapore, Sichuan and its own menu.

The restaurant will introduce three varieties: Tom Yum Seafood Xiao Long Bao, Wagyu Beef with Black Pepper Xiao Long Bao and Bak Kut Teh with Pork Rib Xiao Long Bao.
You’ll be able to discover the full collection through a tasting platter featuring the new creations alongside Dim Sum Library’s signature, the Dan Dan Xiao Long Bao.
Each dumpling is folded by hand, with a naturally coloured wrapper encasing a rich filling and aromatic broth. Served in baskets of four, the collection draws on recipes and culinary traditions from Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong, Dim Sum Library’s original home.
Vibrant red in colour, the Tom Yum Seafood Xiao Long Bao takes its inspiration from Thailand’s celebrated Tom Yum soup. The dumpling recreates the dish’s combination of hot, sour and aromatic flavours, pairing a warming kick of chilli with bright citrus notes and a seafood filling.
The golden-yellow Wagyu Beef with Black Pepper Xiao Long Bao reimagines one of Dim Sum Library’s most recognisable dishes: its signature Wagyu Beef Puff with Black Pepper. Here, the familiar combination of richly flavoured Wagyu beef and fragrant black pepper is presented in soup dumpling form, bringing a new texture and dimension to a favourite from the Dim Sum Library family.
Inspired by Aqua Restaurant Group founder David Yeo’s Singaporean heritage, the green Bak Kut Teh with Pork Rib Xiao Long Bao pays homage to the comforting Southeast Asian soup traditionally prepared with pork ribs, warming spices and aromatic herbs.
Meaning “meat bone tea”, the Bak Kut Teh does not usually contain tea, but takes its name from the tea-drinking ritual that has long accompanied the dish. Dim Sum Library’s interpretation captures its deep and peppery character inside the iconic Xiao Long Bao wrapper.
For those looking to try the complete collection, the Xiao Long Bao Tasting Platter brings together the three new flavours alongside the restaurant’s signature Dan Dan Xiao Long Bao. The latter has become one of Dim Sum Library’s defining dishes, transforming the bold flavours of Sichuan Dan Dan noodles into a delicate soup dumpling. Spicy, nutty and intensely savoury, it reflects the restaurant’s playful approach to Chinese culinary tradition.
The new Xiao Long Bao collection will be available at Dim Sum Library from 7th September 2026 until November.
