Lixir, the low-calorie and lower-quinine mixers brand is excited to announce that they are now available in Asda across the nation.

A bartending duo turned entrepreneurs Matt Mahatme and Jordan Palmer, who launched their low-calorie and lower-quinine mixers, have now got their products into Asda.

Available both online and in-store, shoppers across the UK can access the healthy mixer drinks in several flavours. Asda supermarkets will stock the calorie-light flavour range of pink grapefruit, rhubarb & ginger, elderflower & lemon.

The rollout gives more people access to healthier drinking choices. As well as Asda, Lixir Drinks will of course still be available on their website and Amazon.

They come as individual flavours as well as mixed, such as Classic Indian, Refreshingly Light, Rhubarb & Ginger, Elderflower & Lemon, Pink Grapefruit, Blood Orange & Cinnamon, Ginger Ale and Ginger Beer.

As a mixer they taste great blended with a variety of cocktails, or they can be enjoyed on their own. My top favourites to enjoy just as they are being floral elderflower, and lemon and summery pink grapefruit.

Blood orange & cinnamon also needs a special mention, with its light spice tone it reminds me of Christmas and dark chocolate with orange somehow, but without the high calorie tag.

I of course shared Lixir Drinks with friends who particularly loved the ginger range – the feisty ginger ale, rhubarb & ginger and spiced ginger beer.

Launching in 2018 Lixir Drinks is a fairly recent brand, set up by two university friends on a mission to diversify the choice of mixers on the market.

Their aim is to offer more contemporary, healthier and more conscious brand. As of October 2022 Lixir became the first B-Corp-certified brand in the UK.

B Corp™ independently certifies that Lixir is meeting the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

The brand also works with Just A Drop charity, Ecologi to offset the carbon footprint and PlanetMark a sustainability certifier.

In addition to Asda the Lixir also signed a distribution deal with Molson Coors Beverage Co. And is now available in over 400 bars and restaurants across the UK, making this the perfect time to catapult their brand.
