Ketel One presents a festive champagne-based cocktail using Ketel One Citroen – Christmas in a glass!
With Christmas just around the corner, we could all do with a helping hand in spreading some festive cheer. Why not offer something a little different to your friends and family this Christmas by making them a cocktail with a festive twist?
Featuring Ketel One Citroen, a festive spice syrup and topped with prosecco,’The Reindeer’ is sure to add some sparkle, celebration and Christmas warmth to any festive get together.
Served in a champagne flute, the celebratory cocktail takes its name from its quirky garnish. Topped with two sprigs of holly and a cherry, forming the antlers and nose of the reindeer – not only is’The Reindeer’ a taste sensation, it’s also the perfect showstopper for the Christmas season.
- 20ml Ketel One Citroen
- 1tsp fresh ginger juice
- 12.5ml festive spice syrup (see method below)
- 1tsp fresh lemon juice
- Top with Champagne
Method: Shake Ketel One Citroen, juices and syrup with ice and strain into a flute glass. Top with Champagne and garnish with a sprig of holly and a single fresh cherry
Method for festive spice syrup: Stir half a cup of hot water and half a cup of sugar in a pan until sugar is dissolved. Add x1 cracked cinnamon stick, 1/2 a split vanilla stick and one teaspoon of cracked Szechuan peppers. Cover for 15 minutes then strain and cool liquid.
Method for ginger juice: Use a juicer to extract the juice
