Be taken on a journey of discovery to evoke your senses with the Sense-ation Dinner at Michelin-starred restaurant Texture, in association with Promote Iceland and Blue Lagoon.

Available on three exclusive dates – 1st, 8th and 15th October only, travel through Icelandic scenery and culinary traditions with Chef Patron, Agnar Sverrisson’s five-course tasting menu, complete with expert wine pairings and delivered with unique sensory elements throughout, set under their own Northern Lights.

Priced at £300 per person (including paired wines), this menu will be served in Texture’s private dining room. Seating just 16, the dining room will be transformed into an Icelandic landscape with a live moss walls, a Blue Lagoon  through the centre of the table, sheepskin covered chairs and an Icelandic forest of trees and plants.

The ceiling will display its own real-time Northern Lights during the dinner while the sounds of the Icelandic countryside play out in the background, changing to complement each course and offering an all-encompassing experience.

Guests will be given traditional goodies to take away as a memoir of the evening including black lava salt, Icelandic Skyr, and skin care products from the Blue Lagoon including a silica mud mask, algae mask and lava scrub.

The Sense-ation Dinner will bring together national delicacies from Iceland’s unique culinary landscape. On arrival guests will be offered a signature cocktail’Uggi’, made from Brennivin (Icelandic aquavit), lemon juice, sugar, saint germain liquor, seaweed powder and egg white, as an aperitif.

Dishes will include langoustines on a bed of seaweeds served on dry ice; native reindeer with chocolate sauce, red cabbage and Icelandic baby potatoes served on a charcoal barbecue built with rural moss and stones; and traditional Skyr with blueberries served with textured wooden spoons and bowls from Icelandic artist Olafur Sveinsson.

Each bowl is hand carved with swirling designs on the lid and uniquely formed handles. Guests will also enjoy surprise dishes using some of this Nordic nation’s most iconic ingredients.
