Cakey Perry is a unique culinary experience entirely inspired by the Katy Perry’s California Girl’s video which is set in a fantasy Candyland landscape from 9th – 31st July 2011 in London at Prangsta Costumiers

Whilst staying true to the traditions of high tea (a pianist playing Katy Perry hits will accompany the tea, for example) Cakey Perry is set to turn things on its head. Innovative cupcakes and candyfloss-topped delicacies will nestle amongst macarons from the Great British Bake-off winner Edd Kimber and Gummy Bear Martinis.

A dessert bar will provide an interactive element; cupcakes will have a balloon attached to them which will decorate the cake with a shower of edible glitter when popped, whilst flying meringues can be eaten only if caught.

Famed painted cake & cookie artist, Natasha Collins founder of Nevie Pie Cakes, is the art director and food stylist for the project who comments:

‘The California Gurls video is every cake and sweet lovers dream, a gorgeous land full of beautiful eyecandy that looks deliciously enticing. This is what I hope to create with Miss Cakehead for the High Tea partakers of London”

Cakey Perry is also hosting the debut of Molly Bakes push up pops where they can be tasted for the very first time – a cupcake / cake pop hybrid that keeps for longer than a traditional cupcake due to it’s container and also has the benefit of being mess-free!
