Laduree brings a last piece of summer to the heart of Burlington Arcade till 24th September.
To extend the summer feeling Laduree, the iconic French macaron house, has created a Summer Garden in the Burlington Arcade, surrounded by flower displays designed by Malachite Studio.
Malachite collaborated with a number of brands to put together the idyllic setting. One is the east London florist Rebel Rebel to create the display, with the Hackney-based textile company Colours of Arley providing bespoke cushions made from recycled fabrics.
With sustainability in mind when creating the floral installation, Rebel Rebel used a mix of repurposed dried flowers and seasonal blooms.
Together the partnership created a little Parisian escape. Taking the form of a charming floral seating area and traditional cart, the theme takes inspiration from the Jardin des Tuileries in the French capital, although the blooms hail from much closer to home.
The attraction aims to create an immersive and inviting floral haven, designed to be an exclusive and elegant place to enjoy Laduree’s divine icy creations.
The Summer Garden is positioned in the heart of Burlington Arcade, exhibiting Ladureģe’s beautiful pastel coloured, vintage ice cream cart. Inspired by Le Jardin des Tuileries of Paris, the attraction aims to create an immersive and inviting floral haven, designed to be an exclusive and elegant place to enjoy Ladureģe’s divine icy creations.
Laduree invites ice cream lovers to taste traditional artisan Ladurée signature ice creams and sorbets, such as pistachio, salted caramel and the limited edition roseblood rosé.
Les Plaisirs Glacé, a truly indulgent treat combines a frozen handcrafted macaron with gourmet ice cream filling. My favorite is Vanilla Pecan Nut – vegetable coal streusel sprinkled with broken pecan nuts and filled with Madagascar bourbon vanilla ice cream and caramel.
Summer wouldn’t be summer without the soft serve. Ladurée does it Italian style – Italian soft serve ice cream with a variety of delicious toppings such as lemon meringue and raspberry rose coulis served in a cone or tub.
