Starters of duck liver or mushroom parfait served with cherry jelly and a brioche bun, followed up by a slow-cooked minted lamb shank or, for those with a real hunger, the show stopping centerpiece, wellington of beef or hay-baked celeriac.
Each main dish is supported by side dishes of seasonal root vegetables, truffled potato dauphinoise, pickled hispi cabbage and gravy.
Dessert completes the picture, coming in the form of bread-and-butter pudding served with a healthy dose of sherry cream and butterscotch sauce.
