This autumn to celebrate the opening of Mamalan Shoreditch, founder Ning Ma has teamed up with one of London’s most exciting culinary minds Dan Doherty to design limited edition dumplings.

A first for the Beijing street food restaurant, it marks the start of many dumpling takeovers that will bring together a collision of culture and flavours.

Dan Doherty, Executive Chef of London’s hottest restaurant Duck & Waffle has created the Duck Dumpling.  Available from 14th November for two weeks only, this delicious dumpling fuses together duck, salted cabbage, warming spiced duck broth, roasted chili oil with fragrant coriander and spring onion.

Commenting on the collaboration, Dan Doherty said: Ã¢â‚¬Å“I am a big fan of Asian food and it has been a pleasure to work and collaborate with NIng Ma. I adore dumplings so the opportunity to do this was really great, especially using one of my favorite ingredients, duck.”

Having just moved into Shoreditch, Ning will collaborate with local restaurants and culinary minds, bringing together diverse cooking styles to create a hybrid of dumpling dishes, available exclusively at Mamalan sites. 

The Mamalan X Dan Doherty’s Duck Dumpling priced at £6 for 3 pieces will be available on the menu at all Mamalan restaurants from the 14th to 30th November.
