Neptune in Bloomsbury Launches a New Express Dinner Menu

mcith_image001.jpgNeptune, the modern seafood-focused neighbourhood restaurant’s  new set Express Dinner Menu features three courses, combining Neptune’s signature seafood dishes with a selection of traditional classics, all of which showcase thoughtfully sourced British produce.

Starters include a choice of the Burrata, Iberico tomato & smoked chili; Mangalitza pork terrine & fermented kohlrabi; or Bitter leaf, anchovy, parmesan & Caesar dressing. 

On offer for main course the Onion squash, pied de mouton, chard & green sauce; Mackerel & Corno peppers; or Duck leg, Jerusalem artichoke, chicory & black pudding. 

To finish on a sweet note before heading off to enjoy a performance at one of Bloomsbury’s renowned theatres, the Daily sorbet or ice cream selection; Baked cheesecake, blood orange & Campari; or Yorkshire rhubarb & custard tart will be sure to set diners up for an entertaining evening ahead.

Alternatively, for a post-show tipple, the restaurant features a destination bar with a varied selection of fresh, innovative cocktails alongside Neptune’s extensive wine list, which focuses on small-scale, quality producers and is curated by Isabelle Legeron MW, the world’s foremost authority on natural and low-intervention wines. 

For the full Neptune experience, enjoy a glass or two against the backdrop of the restaurant’s picturesque Grade II-listed dining room, complete with vintage shell lamps, enveloping sepia-tinted interiors and the show-stopping centrepiece, the pewter-topped Oyster Bar.
