Paternoster Chophouse, the British restaurant in the heart of the city famed for hosting the hit TV show’First Dates,’ is relocating around the corner to 35 Old Bailey.

mcith_DSCF0849%20copy.jpgOpening on 3rd December, Paternoster’s new home, run under the guidance of General Manager Hannah Naughton, will feature a bustling restaurant, a vibrant bar plus an outdoor terrace suitable for al fresco dining all year round, ideal for friends from different households looking to meet.

In celebration of the new opening, Paternoster Chophouse are asking guests who have had successful first dates to share their experiences to @PCH Instagram. The best five date tales will be treated to a’First date’ at the new site and enjoy a dinner on the house. 

The Food…

The menu, curated by Head Chef El-Shazly El Shazly, will continue to champion the great British Chop House, with big, hearty meaty portions. Guests can enjoy larger sharing cuts cooked on open charcoal grills, in Josper ovens or on spit roasts, alongside daily and monthly specials of rare grass-fed beef.

Highlights on the food menu include a 900g Whole Grilled Turbot with vermouth and saffron, perfect for sharing and 1000g 12-day aged Gloucester Old Spot Pork “Tomahawk” with baked apples. 

The Bar…

The stylish bar, situated at the back of the restaurant will serve signature cocktails such as the Sloe Bramble, sloe liquor, lemon, mixed berries; Pretty In Pink, Staibano Crème Liqueur, lychee, cranberry, lemon.

There is also an extensive list of New World wines from California, Australia, Argentina, Chile and Canada with a focus or organic sustainable wineries.

Things to look forward to…

Running every Saturday and Sunday from 5th December, Paternoster will be launching a weekend brunch set-menu, with the option to add’free flowing’ bubbles, Chenin Blanc or Cabernet blend.

Highlights on the menu include Sipsmith Gin, Beetroot and Dill Cured Salmon, Steak, Ale & Mushroom Pie with Buttered Cabbage. From the charcoal grill, 250gr 14 Day Aged Flat Iron Steak with Triple Cooked Chips or a Whole Chargrilled Spatchcocked Castlemead Chicken to share and of course a selection of superb Sunday Roasts… 

Looking ahead to the Christmas festivities, enjoy Chop House favourites as well as a winter cocktail or two with their indulgent Christmas Menu .

The celebrations continue in the city to New Year’s Eve where in true Paternoster style, indulge in three courses for £75 including the likes of Beef Wellington, Marks Hall Estate Venison Loin, and a Warm Valrhona 70% Chocolate Fondant with milk ice cream for something sweet to finish.
