Pizza Pilgrims are bringing a “drizzle” of transatlantic buzz to London serving up a  pizza featuring one of NYC’s sweetest new condiments, Mike’s Hot Honey.

Whilst on one of their “Pizza Pilgrimages” in NYC last year, the Pilgrims spent time with the guys at  Paulie Gee’s, currently Brooklyn’s hottest pizzeria. It was there that they tasted their signature  “Hell-boy”, a pie with pepperoni and their head chef’s own concoction MIKES HOT HONEY.

Back in London they set to work recreating Paulie’s classic with a London twist. Pizza Pilgrims will  be the first in the UK to import Mikes Hot honey and will be available on your pizza or to take a  bottle home (£10). They’ve also called in Islington based Cobble Lane Cured to concoct a beef  heart & pork belly pepperoni to give that NYC flavour with British meat.

Keeping on the honey theme the pizza will be paired with a crisp and refreshing honey mead made by the guys at Gosnells Mead down in Peckham.

James Elliot from Pizza Pilgrims said, Ã¢â‚¬Å“I’ve been a huge fan of Paulie Gees for a while now and the  second we tried Mikes Hot Honey we knew we had to bring it back to London with us! We were  worried that serving it with mead would be a honey overdose but the stuff Gosnells make is so  light! A world away from what they drink on Games of thrones!”

All in all it’s looking to be a pretty sweet month at Pizza Pilgrims. “Give Bees a Chance” will be served from  until 1st March, priced at £12 from Pizza Pilgrims Dean St, Kingly Court  and Exmouth Market.
