Ritorno’s Campari Winter Terrace will bring an Alpine wonderland to King’s Road this Christmas.

Ritorno, the Italian restaurant and bar in Chelsea, has turned its outdoor terrace overlooking King’s Road into an Alpine wonderland in partnership with Campari this Christmas, creating a setting in which to enjoy their four special festive cocktails or a classic Aperol Spritz or Negroni.

The heated wrap-around terrace plays host to a cosy log cabin with sheepskin blankets and cushions, a silver birch arch enclosing the corner snug area and glittering willow branches flanking the stairs to the main entrance.

Designed by Toby Roberts at TBR Floral Design Ltd., The Campari Winter Terrace will be in situ until 28th February, providing plenty of time for guests to experience the four cocktails created for the season by Ritorno’s head barman Simone Francini and Campari.

They are: – Bitter Bells (£10) – a twist on Campari & Soda using Campari Bitter, vanilla syrup, orange juice and hibiscus soda water.

T’is The Aperol (£15), a sharing cocktail for two combining Aperol, Maker’s Mark bourbon and home-made pineapple and green tea syrup

Ritorno Off The Blazer (£10), Campari Bitter, Grand Marnier, Evangelista, ratafia, saffron honey, star anise and cinnamon

Ritorno Brulé (£10), a warming take on Italian mulled wine made with Aperol, Essential Persichetti liqueur, vanilla syrup and red wine reduction mixed with herbs, spices and dried fruits.

Also available will be the classic Campari-based Negroni, and Aperol Spritz – Aperol, soda water and Prosecco, served over ice – which is enjoyed in Italy all year round and particularly during ski season, making it the natural complement to the Campari Winter Terrace experience.

As a final festive touch, throughout winter roasted chestnuts will be offered alongside the complimentary cicchetti served during Ritorno’s Dolce Domenica aperitivo hours, where every Sunday from 4pm until 9pm a selection of cocktails – which includes the four seasonal specials – are just £7.50.

Ritorno’s terrace transformations, which have included a towering giraffe made of sunflowers for Chelsea In Bloom, have become a talking point in Chelsea’s World’s End neighbourhood, and the Campari Winter Terrace promises to be their most talked-about yet.

The Campari Winter Terrace at Ritorno will be in place until 28th February 2018.
