Motability are calling for people across the UK to brew up in the name of charity for their 2009 Tea Party campaign. Throughout August and September, people are being encouraged to hold tea parties at home or in work, clubs and societies to raise funds for Motability, the national disability charity.

Celebrity chefs Jamie Oliver, Ainsley Harriott, Gary Rhodes, Brian Turner, Gino D’Acampo and Atul Kochhar have shown their support, donating recipes for tea party hosts to make for their guests. These recipes along with invitations, tips for a successful tea party and a gallery of past events can be found in the ‘Support us’ zone at www.motability.co.uk or you can request a FREE Tea Party pack by calling the Supporter Care Line on 0845 166 8786 or emailing [email protected]

Lucy Tyler, Motability’s Corporate Accounts Manager, said ‘Each year the Tea Party campaign raises thousands of pounds for Motability. This money is used to help hundreds of disabled people get adaptations or financial help towards a car that can quite literally change the lives of both themselves and their family. We’ve raised nearly £2000 already but we’re inviting people to host parties throughout August and September so there’s still time to join in the fun”
