On Tuesday 8th September, The Avalon, the Clapham public house owned by Tom Peake, Mark Reynolds and Nick Fox, also responsible for the The Stonhouse in Clapham and The Bolingbroke in Battersea, will showcase an exclusive five-course gastronomic feast, paired with fine wines from the award winning Waterkloof Estate in the prestigious Stellenbosch region of South Africa.

Held in the new Blue Room, a striking private events space on the first floor of The Avalon, the evening, the first in a series of what promise to be exciting wine dinners, will be co-hosted by Werner Englebreght, chief wine maker at Waterkloof and Danny Spencer of Boutinot Wines. Heralded as an exciting and informative event, the experts plan to share their knowledge as guests dine, from tasting notes to anecdotes from the vineyard.

The five-course menu, created by head chef Adam Hicks, using fresh, seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients, offers an exciting marriage of the finest British and South African produce, with wine to complement the flavours of each dish, is set out below:
