Located in the waterside location of Imperial Wharf, London SW6, DEEP, a seafood restaurant and bar, offers a luxurious dining experience by combining Scandinavian influences with classical Francophile dishes. Owners Kerstin and Christian Sandefeldt are renowned for the freshness and ecological soundness of the fish served, as well as offering inventive dishes at accessible prices, and this Christmas, they will be introducing a smorgasbord – a traditional celebratory buffet, featuring festive dishes from Sweden.

DEEP’s smorgasbord (a word which originally applied to a celebratory feast) will be served on Saturday evenings and Sunday lunches from 29th November until 20th December.. Drawing on Christian and Kerstin’s Swedish heritage, it will be based around a very traditional and, sadly increasingly rare, menu of classic festive dishes. For £37.50 per person, guests can enjoy an authentic selection including seven herring preparations; salmon caviar with red onion and sour cream; smoked eel; Christmas ham with Swedish mustard; and traditional meatballs; followed by rice pudding with Swedish fruit sauce and ginger biscuits.

An à la carte menu continues to be served at lunch and dinner, with a selection of the freshest seafood ‘at market price’. Platters for two are also offered alongside whole roasted or grilled fish, and meat dishes such as braised black pig pork belly with borlotti beans, tomato and gremolata.
